Information MyFuel processes

MyFuel may process account information such as your email address and identity information returned by Sign in with Apple. MyFuel also processes nutrition, food, meal, hydration, goals, supplements, and related history that you choose to record. If you connect Apple Health, MyFuel may also process the specific health and fitness information you choose to share as described below.

Food photos

Food and Nutrition Facts photos are sent for analysis when you choose photo logging. MyFuel is designed not to keep a permanent meal-photo archive. Structured results you confirm can be stored in your Diary and Food Library, while the image itself is not intentionally retained as part of your history.

Voice input

If you use microphone input, MyFuel processes the audio you choose to record so it can transcribe your food command. MyFuel does not intentionally keep microphone audio as part of your food history. Typed or transcribed food commands may be sent for AI-assisted nutrition estimation when needed.

Apple Health, Health Connect, and health information

On supported Apple devices, MyFuel can connect with Apple Health when you choose to allow it. MyFuel may save supported nutrition and hydration information that you log in MyFuel to Apple Health, including dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, total fat, and water.

When you grant read access, MyFuel may also read health and fitness information you choose to share, including steps, active energy, basal or resting energy, exercise minutes, workouts, body weight, sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV), and VO₂ max.

On supported Android devices, MyFuel can connect with Health Connect when you choose to allow it. MyFuel writes only nutrition (dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, and total fat) and hydration that you log in MyFuel. It may read only steps, active and basal energy, exercise sessions and workouts, body weight, sleep, resting heart rate, HRV (Health Connect reports RMSSD), and VO₂ max. MyFuel does not import Health Connect nutrition or hydration.

MyFuel uses Apple Health or Health Connect information to show Activity & Recovery context in the app and, for eligible MyFuel Pro users, to make Coach's Reports more relevant. MyFuel sends only compact summaries needed for those features to its service; it does not upload raw Apple Health or Health Connect sample streams. Permissions are optional and controlled by you in the relevant health settings. If a type is unavailable or not shared, MyFuel treats it as unavailable rather than zero.

MyFuel does not use Apple Health information for advertising or marketing, does not sell Apple Health information, and does not store personal health information in iCloud. MyFuel does not provide medical diagnosis or medical advice, and it does not claim that one tracked behavior caused a change in another health metric. Nutrition estimates, especially AI estimates, can be imperfect. Review important information before relying on it.

Notifications and reminders

If you choose to enable smart notifications on iPhone, MyFuel can schedule optional reminders such as a midday logging check-in, a Coach report-ready notice, and a Finish Day reminder. These launch reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.

Notification preferences are stored on your device. MyFuel does not collect, transmit, or store an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token for these local reminders, and MyFuel does not maintain a server-side push-token record for them. Notification permission is optional and is not required to use MyFuel. You can turn MyFuel notifications off in MyFuel or in iOS Settings.

Service providers

MyFuel uses Amazon Web Services for authentication, hosting, APIs, compute, and data storage. AI-assisted food analysis and transcription may use OpenAI from the server side. Apple provides Sign in with Apple and Apple Health/HealthKit. These providers process data as needed to deliver their respective services.

Authentication and device storage

MyFuel uses Amazon Cognito for authentication. To keep you signed in, authentication session information can be stored locally on the device you use. Signing out removes MyFuel's locally stored session. Anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to access an active session.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate your account, display your Diary and Food Library, calculate recorded nutrition and hydration, provide Activity & Recovery context, create eligible Coach's Reports, analyze foods you ask MyFuel to analyze, improve logging speed through reusable foods, and operate and secure the service.

Data retention

Structured nutrition, hydration, supplement, and related MyFuel history is retained so your Diary remains useful unless it is deleted through supported product or administrative processes. Compact Apple Health summaries sent to MyFuel's service for supported features may be retained with the related MyFuel record as needed to provide that feature. Food photos are not intended to be retained as a permanent archive. Operational logs are designed not to contain passwords, authentication tokens, API keys, or photo image data.

Changes and contact
